Low Carbon Ferro Silicon

 

Ferro Silicon is a ferro alloy that is made with the addition of high percentage of silicon content. This product range is ideally used in industries to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys. These alloys are used as a source of silicon and also find applications of reducing metals from their oxides.

    High Carbon Ferro Chrome

     

    Ferro Chrome (Fe Cr) is an alloy of chromium and iron containing 50% to 70% chromium by weight. One of the important base material used in the production of Stainless steel. It is produced from ferro chrome minerals in the electric smelting furnace for continuous smelting by using the silica as flux and carbon as reducing agent.     Application

    The average chrome content in stainless steel is approximately 18%. It is also used when it is desired to add chromium to carbon steel. FeCr from Southern Africa, known as "charge chrome" and produced from a Cr containing ore with a low carbon content, is most commonly used in stainless steel production.

      Ferro Manganese is an alloy with high percentage of manganese, which is made by heating a mixture of oxides, MnO2 and Fe2O3 with high carbon content in blast furnace or an electric arc furnace-type system. The oxides go through carbothermal reduction in the furnaces that result in producing Ferro Manganese. Ferro Manganese is used as deoxidizer and desulfurizer for production of steel.
